My Story

I am a recent graduate from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Spanish, committed to growth and seeking to make an impact in the strategic communications and digital media industry.

My love for contributing to the creative process began while participating in an experiential design program through UC Davis last summer in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. During the program, I managed multiple exhibition and multisensory experiential design projects, working primarily with designers to build and position narratives through physical environments. I found my strengths resided in communications and the ability to connect a variety of ideas into a singular vision that addressed client requirements.

My involvement in UCSB Sigma Eta Pi, a co-ed entrepreneurship organization, has allowed me to develop my skills in market analysis and creative pitching. As a new member, I created a start-up business pitch through market research, concept creation, target audience validation, and app design and pitched this business idea to a set of mock investors. Through this experience, as well as the experiential design program, I found that my passion resides in communications, project management, and storycrafting.

Further refining my professional goals, my decision to embark on a career in strategic communications was fueled by my coursework at UC Santa Barbara. During a marketing course, my team was tasked with creating an integrated marketing campaign and pitching our solutions to a non-profit organization. My primary responsibility was to create visual content which was on-brand and aligned with our client’s objectives. Similarly, I participated in a public relations course in which I created mock PR content for a home design company, engaging with company leaders, analyzing the business, and curating content to promote their brand. I drafted press releases, feature articles, and profile articles, and developed a social media campaign. These projects taught me the importance of capturing narratives and translating them into written and visual content which sparks conversation.

Through these unique experiences, as well as the roles that I have had in retail, I have learned to work in high-paced environments, adjust quickly to new situations, and exceed expectations of clients and customers. This has helped me develop my collaborative nature and ability to build rapport, while being adaptable in dynamic situations and managing the logistics required to get things done.

I am a bold storyteller, proactive worker, and team player. I understand the importance of balancing creativity and execution when bringing a client’s vision to life, and I seek to bring my passion, work ethic, and collaborative energy in my next opportunity.
